Reviews:

  • Wine Enthusiast: Subtle aromas of cinnamon and vanilla form the nose on this wine. Notes of plum, black cherry and baking spice show on the palate. Full bodied, the wine is framed by soft tannins and has a medium finish, with oaky notes in the aftertaste.
  • James Suckling: So much blue fruit and dried violets on the nose. Subtle. Medium-bodied with fine tannins that have a dusty feel to them. Pretty, fine tannins. Supple.

The Marchiori vineyard is situated here, as well as the winery and the new estate vineyards which surround it. The vineyards in the Valle de Uco, Zingaretti and Chañares, range from 900 to 1400m (2950 to 4600ft). Soils here are alluvial, sandy and rocky, with some areas of limestone. Precision farming techniques using modern computer monitoring systems are employed. In the winery, movement of juice and must is done gently, powered by gravity to aid the preservation of phenolics. Both American and French oak are used for the barrel maturation process. To maintain the complexity of the wines, no clarification is utilized.
