Kellerei Terlan (also known as Cantina Terlano) is a leading wine producer in the German-speaking Italian region of Alto Adige – Sudtirol. The winery regarded as one of the very best cooperatives in Italy.It was founded in 1893 and now has 143 member growers farming a total of 190 hectares (470 acres). The village of Terlano is located halfway between the regions two main towns, Merano and Bolzano, in a wide section of the Adige river valley.Production is split 70-30 between white and red wine. The extensive portfolio includes wines from all of the major grape varieties grown in the region.
