Producer Information

Fabre family is a family of winegrowers settled in Languedoc since 1605. The Château de Luc has 14th-century underground cellars that offer a unique historical testimony of the Corbières region. Its vineyard, which is situated on the windswept slopes of the Alaric and on the stony terraces of the Orbieu, contributes to the wine’s lovely concentration and pleasing balance. The soils in the Château de Luc vineyard are extremely diverse, ranging from recent alluvium to rolled pebble soils to deeper soils on sections of Miocene-era limestone hills. The fact that they are all extremely fertile and rich in minerals unites these lands. The microclimate of Luc is defined by the Cers’ unique strength (North-West wind). The grapes are in contact with the scrubland and impart juniper or rosemary scents to the wines because of this predominant wind. The Château de Luc is famous for hosting various wine-related events and activities to promote wine tourism in the region. They offer visits to the castle and the historic cellar but the activity that sets it apart from other wineries is that it offers Escape games for the visitors.
