Producer Information
Château Clos Marsalette is a Bordeaux wine estate in the Martillac commune of the Pessac-Léognan appellation. It is co-owned by Count Stephan von Neipperg and Didier Miqueu. The estate produces both red and white wines. The reds are typically Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot dominant blends with occasional additions of Cabernet Franc. The whites are crafted from Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. The vineyards of Clos Marsalette are situated on gravelly rises formed by ancient alluvial deposits from the Garonne River. It combines marine sediments from the Miocene and Pliocene epochs including calcareous sands with tawny sands with variegated clays.
