Focused, elegant and structured, the palate offers ripe black cherry, licorice, grated clove and tobacco framed by firm, fine-grained tannins and youthfully nervous acidity. It boasts a great mix of structure and elegance, tension and focus.
Producer Information
Created in 1973 by Mario Barbero, the company was born as a cooperative made up of thirteen members (now there are 17) from the Treiso area, all linked to the Langa hills. The headquarters are located in the hamlet of “Pertinace” where the emperor Publius Elvius was born. After years of activity, since 2014, the winery has been renewed, also changing its name: from “Cantina Vignaioli Elvio Pertinace” to “Pertinace” and expanding its headquarters to meet the ever-increasing market demands.
