• Wine Advocate: The wine opens with a very clear, fresh and cool bouquet, indicating lovely, concentrated, precise and fresh fruit. On the palate, this is a highly elegant, pure, rich, intense but lifted and finessed Riesling à la Trimbach, with fine but concentrated fruit, good acidity and a lingering salinity.

• Wine Spectator: This racehorse of a wine marries power and grace, showing a beautiful nose of ripe white fruit and slate-tinged mineral that draws you into the glass. There’s a buoyant quality to the acidity that enlivens the creamy, finely meshed flavors of white nectarine, with notes of Meyer lemon zest and accents of star anise, marjoram and saline. The long finish goes on and on.

Maison Trimbach is one of the oldest wineries in the French wine region of Alsace. Dating back to 1626, Trimbach is well-known for its Riesling wines. In particular, one made from the small Clos Sainte Hune vineyard, which is considered one of the finest Alsatian expressions of the grape.Alongside Riesling, Trimbach has a range of classic Alsace varieties within its wine portfolio. These include Sylvaner, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc, Muscat and Pinot Noir. The collection covers a range of styles, but dry, ageworthy wines with great minerality are Trimbach’s specialty. The house makes a few Vendages Tardives and Selection de Grains Nobles wines, as well as some Eaux-de-Vie in select vintages.Located in Ribeauville,Trimbach is surrounded by limestone- and fossil-rich vineyards protected by the Vosges Mountains.Trimbach has plots in several grand cru vineyards, including Geisberg and Osterberg.
