Description
Red Wine: 2015 | Domaine Jacques Prieur | Meursault Santenots 1er cru
The 2015 Meursault 1er Cru Santenots has a little more terroir expression than its peers on the nose, a pleasant saline note emerging with aeration. The palate is fresh on the entry with hints of peach and watermelon, and might have deserved a higher evaluation had there been more salinity and nervosité on the finish.

Producer Information
Domaine Jacques Prieur is a relatively large Burgundy producer that makes both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from esteemed vineyard holdings across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. The history of the domaine began in the 1860s, with the marriage of Claude Duvergey and Marie Taboureau. They first established the wine and spirits merchant business, Duvergey-Taboureau House, before buying property in Meursault – now the site of the modern Jacques Priuer domaine.Beginning in the late 1800s and continuing into the 20th Century, the family began investing in viticulture and purchasing vineyards, establishing vines in what have become some of the most sought after appellations in the Côte d’Or.
