Companía de Vinos del Atlántico (CVA) is a Spanish owned and operated producer of fine wines from across the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal). Working with small family-owned/farmer focused vineyards, the wines of CVA are each rooted in the styles and long held traditions unique to each wine region. CVA produces a diverse range of Spanish and Portuguese wines of incredible quality and outstanding value. Head winemaker and CVA co-founder Alberto Orte is a devout student of tradition and history. His own family’s tradition of winemaking dates back more than a century! Today, Alberto’s fascination with history continues to inspire many of his projects, including the revitalization of ‘old fashioned’ (now increasingly popular) winemaking techniques, and the recovery of nearly-extinct grape varieties and wine styles. Each wine by CVA shows great sense of place, exemplifying classic characteristics of the region in which it is made.
