Description
Red Wine: 2012 | Piero Busso | Gallina
Leafy underbrush, scorched earth, porcini mushroom, menthol and mature berry aromas lead the nose. Ripe and jammy, the dense, one-dimensional palate offers black cherry extract, star anise, oak and a hint of vanilla set against a backbone of firm, close-grained tannins.

Producer Information
The history of the Piero Busso winery started with The Albesani Vineyard, in 1948. Piero Busso’s father, Guido, established the estate, that has continued to grow during the years to come. And today, the winery has three beautiful vineyards, all located in or around Neive, in the epic scenery of Piemonte. Although the winery has existed for quite a long time, its philosophy still remains the same upon until this day: the wine shall respect the land, the vine and the fruit, without compromising any of these three characteristics, and without it being forced. The Piero Busso winery, takes the care and respect for its terroir to a whole new level, which results in some of the finest organic wines to be found in the Langhe wine region. They already had an organic approach, way before it became known as an approach that should be followed in the general society. Not only have they always deselected herbicides and chemical products, but they have always strived to work with respect for the earth in every way possible. This approach is mirrored in the whole family, who is taking part in driving the winery forwards by working there in different positions.
