Producer Information
Massolino (formally Azienda Agricola Vigna Rionda) is a Piedmont winery best known for its Barolo DOCG wines made from the Nebbiolo variety. The 23 hectares (57 acres) of estate vines are almost all entirely in the Barolo sub-region Serralunga d’Alba. Nebbiolo is, unsurprisingly, the most important grape variety. Five Barolo wines are made, as well as a Langhe Nebbiolo. However the portfolio is extensive by Piedmontese standards; other red wines are Barbera d’Asti, Barbera d’Alba, Dolcetto d’Alba,. Three white wines are made; a Chardonnay and Riesling under the Langhe DOC, and a Moscato d’Asti.
