Distillery Information

Kromanti Rum has roots in the stories of two historical figures. Julien Fedon, son of a French jeweller and an enslaved woman, and Kromanti Kojo, a drummer from the Kromanti community, were exiled to Grenada. Kojo knew the importance of natural ingredients for healing and food. The rum reflects the legacy of these ancestors. Its herbs, spices, and fruits mirror the traditions of a community that fought for freedom. Cashain and Danielle David, a father-and-daughter team, founded Kromanti Rum. Cashain was a mental health professional and rum ambassador. At a drinks festival, he felt disconnected from the stories told by rums. He wanted to tell a more genuine story of rum. His daughter Danielle joined him. After 12 years in shipping, she felt a void. She found comfort in her heritage. Together, they aim to reshape the rum industry. They want it to reflect their heritage. Kromanti is more than a mixer rum. It blends spiritual truths with deep flavours. It connects the present with ancestors. This rum isn’t about clichés.
