Distillery Information
Artez has a small production (about 40,000 bottles per year) from only 12 hectares of certified organic vineyards in the western part of Bas Armagnac, and aged in Monlezun black oak from Artez’s own forest. Here, in the so-called “Golden Triangle” (also known as Grand Bas-Armagnac) the sandy, iron-rich soils, called sables fauves, are often said to produce the finest eaux de vie in the entire appellation.
