Craigellachie 11 Year Old Pedro Ximenez Cask Finish Darkness Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 500ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Notes of dark mint chocolate are backed by creamy maple fudge and peppermint creams.

Palate: Treacle toffee, Crunchie bars, maple and pecan pastries, with charred oak and burnt biscuits beneath.

Finish: Sticky ginger cake, buttered malt loaf, burnt sugar, and earthy, herbaceous notes of dried mint.

Distillery Information

Craigellachie features some very specific production techniques: barley from an oil fired kiln giving more weight, short stills and worm tub condensers to minimise copper contact. The team do 21 mashes per week, have 8 wash backs and 4 copper pot stills.
