Distillery: Romano Levi
The family distillery was run by brother and sister duo Romano and Lidia Levi throughout the 20th Century. Romano became extremely talented and producing Grappa, whilst Lidia developed a great depth of knowledge of local herbs, which she began to infuse in her brother’s products. Amaro della Donna Selvatica translates from Italian as “bitter of the wild woman”, replicating one of Lidia’s original recipes – Grappa is infused with the likes of bitter orange, gentian, sage, and hops. Wild indeed!
