Very similar in character to the Dalmore 50yrs in the crystal decanter (they are from the same batch of stock), this is an earlier presentation from the 1970s and is packaged in a smart black ceramic decanter. Dalmore ages better than perhaps any other Highland distillery, and gives Macallan a run for its money in the quality stakes, but stocks are always very low.

Nose: Full-bodied aroma.

Palate: This is extremely rich and very balanced in flavour.

Finish: Finish is smooth and long.

Distillery Information

The Dalmore distillery is located in Alness, Scotland, which is 20 miles north of Inverness. It sits on the banks of the Cromarty Firth overlooking the Black Isle, the “big meadowland”, from which it takes its name.
