“Altocedro winery, founded by Karim Mussi in Argentina’s Uco Valley, tells a story of pioneering high-altitude winemaking, blending Lebanese heritage (the name means “high cedar”) with artisanal, low-intervention techniques to create terroir-focused wines from old vines. Karim, a third-generation Lebanese immigrant, transformed his family’s grape-growing operation in the La Consulta region into a celebrated boutique winery, focusing on pure expressions of Malbec and other varieties that highlight the unique high-altitude terroir, earning recognition for sustainability and quality.”
