The whisky comes in at 58% ABV and only 240 bottles were produced. As this is an exclusive private bottling, it’s very hard to find in whisky stores around the world, making it highly collectible.

Ichiro’s Malt – The Peninsula 2018 Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: Full-bodied, smooth. A mellow peat softly coats the aromatic palette at first, growing more powerful with time.

Palate: Smooth and soft with good sweetness and winter spice.

Finish: Finish is long, spicy and smooth.

Distillery Information

Chichibu distillery is a Japanese whisky distillery. Founded in 2004 by Ichiro Akuto, and operational from 2008, it was the first new Japanese distillery since 1973. It is located at Chichibu, a city in Saitama Prefecture, Japan.
