Distillery: Parce Rum
Parce is blended by Master Blenders Arthur and Brojen Fernandes Domecq of Bogota Colombia, who have a combined history of more than 50 years working with fine rum. Parce’s distillate is blended in Panama, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago and Colombia and the final blending and bottling takes place in Colombian coffee country: Quindio. It is then thoughtfully aged for three years in bourbon oak barrels.
Parce 3 Year Old Rum Tasting Notes
Nose: Sour/dark, baked cherry; plum; grassy; very bourbon-like, with sweet grains/oak/butter; lemon; redwood/cedar.
Palate: It is smooth and delicate on the palate.
Finish: A warm finish.
Distillery Information
Parce was founded by Jim Powers and his two brothers Patrick and Brian in 2012. Previously all from Chicago, Jim was living in New York City and working in A&R while Brian was living in Vail, Colorado. Patrick had been in Colombia since the 1990s to expand the family’s water, oil and gas pipeline business. The brothers all met in Colombia three months after their dad died in 2010. They decided to make a sipping rum in honor of their father. The brothers employed Arthur Fernandes and Brojen Domecq Fernandes as master blenders.
