Copper Fox Peachwood American Single Malt is created by Copper Fox Distillery out of Sperryville, VA. Peachwood smoke (approximately 12-18ppm) is used during the kiln drying process, and Peachwood is also placed inside the barrels during maturation. It is non-chill filtered and bottled at 48% ABV.

Copper Fox Peachwood American Single Malt Whiskey Tasting Notes

Nose: Complex aromas of ripe stone fruit, sweet smoke/ash (campfire)and cinnamon pastry.

Palate: Medium-full body; just slightly tannic/drying, sweet but earthy at the same time; syrupy mouthfeel; flavors of marzipan, clove, orange zest, and underneath it all a subtle, salty smokiness.

Finish: Medium-long, dried fruit, raw honey, and toasted oak notes.

Situated along the banks of the Thronton River in Sperryville, Virginia, Copper Fox Distillery was founded in 2000 after Wasmund returned to the United States following an internship at Bowmore Distillery.
